Nunn is originally from the Washington D.C. Her medium of choice is oil paint, but that wasn't always the case. It will be interesting to see if Stearns' red clown nose will make an appearance!

Her next project will be that of a portrait of Stephen Stearns. The resulting artwork is a just sampling of Nunn's skillfull attention to detail and the perfect balance of color, light and shadow that represents Cox in his natural setting surrounded by the makings of violins in progress, woodworking tools and shavings. Nunn is so good in fact, that Douglas Cox, a local violinmaker of national renown, commissioned her to do his portrait. It is the perfect setting for Nunn's artistic talent to be put to work where she paints amazing classical realism paintings, with portraits being her specialty. Nunn's jolly caricature of her beloved pet holding a paint palette marks the entrance to her studio. The studio itself is named for her penchant for black and white cats, describing her last very well fed tuxedo cat who succumbed to cancer last year as her soul kitty. Pasted on her easel are inspirational quotes to provide motivation throughout her day. BRATTLEBORO -The Whetstone Studio for the Arts' newest tenant, Cat Nunn, beams in the new location for her Fat Cat Studio, loving the natural light that saturates the room and the soothing sounds of the Whetstone Brook as it travels by her windows.
